Privacy Policy

WEBISWHATIDO LLC, doing business through PlanASwim ("PlanASwim", "we", "us"), operates planaswim.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash), or your Google account's name and email if you sign in with Google.
  • Profile details you or your coach add: birthdate, gender, USA Swimming member ID, phone number, emergency contacts, and medical notes. Only you, the people who manage your account, and your coaches can see them.
  • What you create: workouts, logged swims, team rosters, messages, and team website content and images.
  • Text message consent: the mobile number you add for texts, when you agreed, the wording you agreed to, where you agreed, and the IP address and browser you agreed from.
  • Payment details: card and bank details are entered into our payment processor's secure form. We keep only the type, the last 4 digits, and the expiration date.
  • Usage information: pages visited (through Google Analytics), and IP addresses for security and to limit abuse.
  • Team page views: when you open a team's website, a shared workout, or a form, we add one to that day's count for the team, along with the kind of place you came from (such as a search engine or an email) and the referring site's name. These counts use no cookies and keep no IP address or anything else that identifies you.

How we use it

  • To run PlanASwim: save your workouts, connect swimmers, parents, and coaches, and show your team website.
  • To send the email and text messages you or your coach asked for, and account notices such as confirmations, receipts, and billing reminders.
  • To bill organizations that subscribe to PlanASwim Pro.
  • To keep PlanASwim secure, prevent abuse, and improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

Text messages

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the providers that deliver the messages for us.

We only text numbers whose owners added them themselves, with the wording agreeing to receive texts shown next to the number. A coach cannot sign anyone up. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or turn texts off in your account settings. See "Text messages" in our Terms for details.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services needed to run PlanASwim:

  • Your coaches and family: coaches see their roster's details; people who manage your account see what you see.
  • Service providers that work for us under contract: Google Cloud (hosting and storage), SendGrid (email), Twilio (text messages), FluidPay (payments), Google (sign-in, analytics, and the AI that writes workouts from a description).
  • The law: when required by law, or to protect people's safety.

Children

A child's profile on PlanASwim is created and managed by a parent or coach. We do not knowingly let children under 13 create their own account or receive text messages. A parent can review, change, or delete their child's information from the Family page, or by contacting us.

Your choices

  • Change your details in your account settings at any time.
  • Unsubscribe from a team's email with the link in any team email, and stop texts by replying STOP.
  • Delete your account from your account settings. We remove your personal information, except what we must keep for billing records or the law.

Keeping it safe

Connections to PlanASwim are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and payment details stay with our payment processor. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
